ARTIFACTS
PROFESSIONAL LEARNING WORKSHOP

As a coach, I utilized the Dick and Carey model to design and deliver a professional development workshop for aspiring educators at Middle Georgia State University. Focus areas of my workshop included student engagement, interactive instruction, differentiation, and assessments. Evaluating the effectiveness of my instruction, I discovered favorable responses with the quality of the information and resources provided. I discovered that my ideal method of delivery is with in-person instruction. I continue to work improve with additional coaching opportunities.
I encouraged my participants to connect with professional networks to expand their instructional toolbox. I provided resources and personal invitations to my own professional network and others.

This artifact was developed and utilized to coach adult learners on the use of the digital tool Google Jam. It is a digital how to guide for educators.
As a coach, I utilized my online web presence to provide an avenue to resources that will support the continued growth of those who join my professional network.
REFLECTION
As an instructional coach, I have the great responsibility of informing my team and educators on new and current technology. As part of my coaching opportunity, I wanted to explore a technology tool that would provide opportunites to enhance and elevate lessons. I took great pains to ensure that the technology introduced will guide educators in created personalized learning opportunities for all students. The web tool, SMART, is a one stop shop with a plethora of resources. It is flexible and compatible with other web tools. In designing the workshop, I am reminded of the importance of alignment between content standards, participant needs, learning goals, and learning outcomes. This program has nudged me outside of my fear of presentations. I am a passionate educator who is more comfortable with teaching my students than coaching aspiring educators. Although I still have much to learn, I am much more confident in my delivery. Looking to the future, I will coninue to explore other coaching opportunities. As educators, we are life long learners, ever evolving, learning and sharing.
